BIG BLUE TRASH CANS
No one asked for them, but the city has given them to us even though we pay for trash pickup on our water bill. No one seems to know what to do with them or when. I hope to answer some of your questions.
1. Trash cans: Can go in the back yard, in the garage, or on the side of the house by the garage behind the garage door line up against the house. (You may ask for approval to put a pad or fence around them with an Architectural Request form found on our web site. Nothing can go in front of your garage doors. Trash can only be put out after 6 P.M. the night before pick-up.
2. Trash pick-up days have changed:
Monday: Grass, leaves, tree trimmings. Tree trimmings cut to 4 ft. in length, stacked, no more than 50 lbs. (Note you can use unopened trash bags as a rope to tie them together.)
3. Tuesday: Heavy trash includes items too heavy or to large to put into trash cart. See city mailer for items.
4. Wednesday: Regular trash pick-up as well as recycled trash. Regular trash must be in trash bags, recycle does not. See list from city.
5. Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. No pick up of any kind. Do not put trash out on these days.
6. If trash pickup falls on a holiday, it will be picked up the next day and it is ok to have trash out that day. Direct all questions to City of Rosenberg at 832.595.3300 ext. 9.
1. City code: Only two garage sales per year. Enforced!
2. Garage Sale Signs; City code: No signs on right of ways at all Enforced! You may put them at the entrance of your subdivision on the house side of the side walk only if that home owner allows you to.
